Most folks are educated from an extremely early age to participate in some type of regular housework or chores that were required in return for a reward. Perhaps you received an allowance each week for cleaning the bathrooms. Possibly mom or dad gave you a buck or two for mowing the grass when it needed cutting. Maybe one night per week, you’d to make dinner, or even do all the ironing or laundry. I’m convinced many folks recall countless years of taking out the garbage, folding the linens, scouring the sinks, or vacuuming the carpets in the dwellings we grew up in.  To say times have changed since we were kids, with regards to domestic tasking, is beyond understatement. Many families don’t even have time to sit down together for the evening meal. After school, there are soccer practices to get to, little league baseball games and dance lessons.

These days, parents with a merely a few children work out incredible juggling acts of scheduling. Married couples working in fast paced careers are equally as active, with tremendous “To-Do Lists” that overwhelm the most stoic planners. It’s becoming a losing struggle to match regular house work. And many of us don’t need to admit this.  Rather than thinking about getting help, most people do what they can when they know, in advance, that visitors or relatives are coming over. I call this “cram-cleaning.” Cram-cleaning is when you are doing a month’s worth of house work in two to four hours and play catch-up as best you are able to. Maybe you even have a room where all the stacks of unopened post go along with all the dirty laundry you’ven’t done in two weeks. Then you close that door tight when guests arrive.

Whatever your situation may be, you feel the guilt nagging away at you. You should have been on top of things! You weren’t raised this way! Your head reasons that you simply should have the ability to manage all the housework, work a full-time job, commute through hours of traffic, get the children/pets/yourself to all the actions you’re involved in, with time to spare to actually appreciate some recreation.  But deep down, your heart knows you only can’t get this done.  That’s where a maid or cleaning service comes to the rescue.  “But hang on! I won’t let someone come into my house and do the work I should be doing! And even letting someone into my house, particularly if I’m not there, gives me the heebie-jeebies.”

Once you sent over yourrequirements and have contacted the agency, have a chat before the service starts and then should send over a number of maids, to meet with you.Just because you’re using an agency, doesn’t mean that you do nothave a pick in the maid.

Thus, if I have convinced you to take the leap and you’re going to go right out and find a maid service, I want to mention a number of things I’ve learned over the years that will save you some grief and worry.  You really do not need to clean your house for the maid. This was a demanding one for me at first. It took me a couple of months to get out of the habit of the “maid is coming tomorrow” cleaning. Allow the service do its job that you will be paying for. Don’t wash those dishes and don’t put up the dirty socks. Don’t vacuum the dog hair off the carpet either! You’ll be tempted, but don’t give in. Believe me once I say they’ve probably seen much worse.

If you have unexpected company fall in you do not have to be worried about your house not being presentable -you’ll know that your home looks excellent. Yes, it might mean that you have to pickup a few of the children’s toys, but at least you are going to understandthat assorted rooms in the home and the floorings are clean!

Finally, make sure to allow the service know just what you expect them to do. Write a listing of reminders or jobs for them to go by. Additionally, provide regular feedback to the service supervisor about anything you aren’t happy with. Don’t be bashful! You’re paying them to do a job. You shouldn’t let anything fall. Even if you think something was a little oversight, just do it and allow them to know about it. I’ve found that the more commonly you supply comments, the better the service will get.  The key to having a maid service is getting your dollar’s worth along with a stress-free relationship and the piece of mind that comes with it. Once you have this figured out, every encounter will be met with those surprised faces.”

We live in a society where we can hire someone to help us with a wide assortment of endeavors.Yet, as helpful as this really is to us, many folks arehesitant to allow a stranger into our homes. By researching attentively into differentmaid services which are accessible to you personally and by asking as many questions as possible, you will not only be supplied with a cleaning service that is great, but will also be confident that yourhome is in safe hands.
Your house will have a clean, fresh smell that makes coming home a delightfulexperience- in more ways than one!
